At Konyaspor since 2016, Amir Hadziahmetovic could end up moving to England in the coming weeks if Burnley have their way.

That’s because Vincent Kompany is currently in a battle with Besiktas to try and sign the defensive midfielder, who has caught the eye with his performances in the Süper Lig.

According to TRT Spor journalist Firat Günayer, the Bosnia international has been the subject of two bids to dates, with Burnley leading the race at this moment in time.

Besiktas have reportedly put €2.5m on the table, but it was ‘not accepted’, while the Clarets have proposed €4m.

While that’s more than the competition, it’s said that Konyaspor want €5m for their star, and ‘negotiations are ongoing’.

Meanwhile, Sabah are also pushing the idea that Burnley are after Hadziahmetovic, but they claim that their offer was ‘the same as Besiktas’’.

We’ll have to wait and see who’s right here, but it appears we have a nice little battle on our hands, and it could be that it all comes down to where the midfielder wants to continue in career.

Does he want to stay in Turkey or try his luck in England at a club looking very likely to be promoted to the Premier League?
