On Monday, we covered claims from Italy that Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat has rejected West Ham United and a Saudi Arabia club to favour a move to Manchester United.
The midfielder has a year left on his deal and there’s an option to extend it until 2025.
La Nazione, relayed by Viola News, state he’s ‘destined to leave’ the Serie A side and has already found an agreement with Manchester United.
The Italian club are ‘ready to close’ the 26-year-old’s sale and are waiting for an offer of around €25m, with other reports saying €30m. The Red Devils have to agree a deal with Fiorentina for the transfer to take shape but that hasn’t happened so far.
Fiorentina are ‘waiting for Amrabat’s farewell’ and the report states they have identified Bologna’s Nicolás Domínguez as a target to replace him.
La Nazione’s claim is also relayed by Labaro Viola, who say both Amrabat and Fiorentina are ‘still waiting’ for a ‘concrete’ proposal of no less than €25m from Manchester United.
Although it’s not made clear if and when Erik ten Hag’s side would make an offer, there seems to be confidence in the Italian media that the Morocco international will be sold this summer.
