Spanish newspaper AS on Wednesday present a collection of players to have left Barcelona this summer, along with others the Catalan club would quite like to see leave.
Barcelona haven’t exactly done a great job of trimming the fringe of their squad, and players such as Douglas, Andre Gomes, Arda Turan and Munir still remain.
Rafinha is still there too, and that’s despite AS saying he has offers from Arsenal and AC Milan. With Barcelona keen to sell, it surely can’t be too hard for Arsenal to complete a deal, but AS say the issue is Rafinha’s latest injury and his longer than expected layoff.
Arsenal have been linked to Rafinha for what seems like years, without anything ever being especially concrete.
It’s a Rafinha transfer story… so it has to include Arsenal.
Another Spanish newspaper, Mundo Deportivo, on Wednesday have an article about a possible Arda Turan and Mesut Ozil swap.
However, it’s made very clear that was just an idea, prompted by English reports of Arsenal being interested in Turan.
Barcelona then thought they may be able to build a swap, but those ideas were dismissed several weeks ago, so it’s not current or indeed real.
