Prior to this season, Dean Huijsen was a name few in Italy were aware of, but the 18-year-old is now starting to make a name for himself at AS Roma on loan.

Still under the management of José Mourinho, the club brought in the young Dutchman early on in the January transfer window, and he has played in every league game since, starting one of the five he has featured in.

These early performances have been enough to catch the attention of a few clubs, including Manchester United, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The newspaper have a report on some of the players that are out on loan from Juventus, including the centre-back, and explain the club could cash in on a few in the summer.

Huijsen is one of them, and his displays have been enough to ‘raise the antennas’ of three European clubs, with those being Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig.

It’s no secret that the Red Devils are looking to change direction on the transfer market under INEOS, and the belief is they could go after the youngster partly because of his current talent, but also ‘partly for the margins of growrth’.

As things stand for Manchester United, Cristiano Giuntoli is ‘unlikely to listen to offers lower than €25-30m’, but it’s made clear that such figures are ‘far from impossible’ for all the interested clubs named, including the Old Trafford side.
