On Tuesday morning, as the Italian media reported that an unnamed English club had offered €40m for Juventus fullback Andrea Cambiaso, a couple of stories strongly suggested it was from Aston Villa.
As TuttoJuve now shows up with an update on this situation, they claim the scenario is actually different, with Arsenal named as one of the clubs who actually want him.
The outlet starts by claiming that Aston Villa are actually ‘not interested’ in the 24-year-old, so it wasn’t them who placed the bid.
It’s then said that Arsenal, as well as Manchester United, have the player on their list.
The problem for the interested clubs is that Juventus are ‘not considering the transfer’ right now. They’re actually set to meet Cambiaso’s entourage to talk about a contract renewal.
With Aston Villa out of the player, we now wonder if the claims of a €40m bid were real, because if so, there’s a chance that could be coming from Arsenal or Manchester United then.
Perhaps that contract negotiations are on the way is key to all of this.
