On Tuesday, TuttoMercatoWeb reported Fulham have no intention of giving up in their ongoing pursuit to sign Fiorentina’s Igor Julio.
The defender has a deal until 2024, with an option to extend it for a year. The Serie A side would ‘like to sell’ him in the summer window.
That’s according to Quotidiano Sportivo, who reiterate Fulham is an option for Igor when discussing Fiorentina’s transfer plans. Their title reads: ‘Igor at Fulham: it can be done’.
It’s explained that the Italian club will have to bring in a replacement for Igor, should he move elsewhere. The door to make a switch to the Premier League is open for the player but Marco Silva’s side ‘must take the step forward’ to secure his services.
Quotidiano Sportivo add the London club are ‘moving again’ to sign the South American.
There’s been a claim of an offer of €7m which is deemed too low by Fiorentina. The report states they ‘want to continue negotiating’ with Fulham over a deal for the centre-back.
It’s claimed the Italian club’s aim is to collect around €10m for Igor, a year after they rejected an offer of €15m plus bonuses from Rennes.
