Brighton and Hove Albion manager Roberto De Zerbi is a big fan of Bologna’s Riccardo Calafiori and would even like to take him to Bayern Munich if he ends up there.
That’s according to Calciomercato.it, who say that the Italian coach would also like to take Valentin Barco to Munich if given the opportunity.
CM.it explain that Calafiori is being targeted by a host of clubs this summer after impressing for Bologna, who have been one of the revelations of Serie A.
Juventus are one of the clubs looking at him and there are suitors in the Premier League, including Brighton.
Their interest comes from Roberto De Zerbi, who is a big fan of the Italian defender and would like to sign him this summer.
Indeed, he even intends to ask for the signing of Calafiori or Valentin Barco from Brighton this summer if he were to be hired by Bayern Munich as their next manager.
They need a reinforcement at left-back and it seems he’s targeting either Calafiori or Barco from Brighton to resolve the issue.
The defender, for his part, would prefer to stay in Serie A and his dream is to receive a call from Daniele De Rossi at Roma as that’s the club he grew up supporting and would love to play for.
