Mexican side CF América are yet to receive any offers for goalkeeper Luis Malagón, despite Crystal Palace’s reported interest.

That’s according to TUDN, who say a move is not currently on the cards who say no formal offer has been made as yet.

A report earlier today claimed that Crystal Palace had started negotiations for the 27-year-old goalkeeper, who could be available for around €10.5m.

This came via journalist Juan Carlos Ibarrará, who insisted that Crystal Palace were already looking at the 27-year-old and talking to his representatives about a move.

TUDN pick up on that and report that the Eagles are yet to make any further steps as América are yet to receive any offer for their goalkeeper. Nothing official has been presented to them despite the reports of Palace’s interest.

They then point out an interesting anecdote, explaining that the Premier League’s official website has created a profile for the player. This is odd as Malagón has never played in England, never mind the Premier League.

They, though, have gone to the trouble of creating a profile for him with personal data such as nationality, date of birth and height. There’s no photo included, however.

That has been picked up on and led many fans to imagine that Malagón could be on his way to the Premier League after all. If that is to happen, Crystal Palace or someone else will need to make an official offer first.
