Östersund forward Saman Ghoddos has told the Swedish media that it’s pleasing to be linked with a move to the Premier League.
The Iran international has in recent weeks been linked with a move to West Ham United and Crystal Palace.
Speaking to Aftonbladet, Ghoddos was quizzed about getting a move to England in the summer: “It’s great to hear about such rumours, but it’s a long way until the transfer window opens again. Hopefully, there will be even more interest this summer. Until then, I’ll take one match at a time.”
Last month we covered reports that West Ham sent a scout to the game between Arsenal and OFK, with the intention to get a lowdown on Ghoddos.
It was well documented West Ham were keen to bring in a forward during the last transfer window after Andre Ayew and Diafra Sakho left the club, and Ghoddos could be an option in the next window.
In recent days there have been reports in the British media Crystal Palace are also interested in the OFK star. The Eagles brought in Norwegian forward Alexander Sorloth in the last window, were linked with Sweden No.1 Robin Olsson, and made a failed attempt to sign Frederik Rønnow from Brondby.
It seems Crystal Palace are casting an eye on Scandinavian football, which isn’t a surprise given Roy Hodgson’s time managing in Sweden.
