Already a target for Crystal Palace in the summer, Jordan Lotomba could see his role at OGC Nice diminish if the Ligue 1 side sign Valentin Rosier.
The right-back is close to arriving in the south of France from Besiktas, and L’Equipe explain this could ‘revive the desire to leave’ from the 25-year-old Switzerland international.
They recall that Lotomba was ‘already questioning his future’ earlier on in the season when he started on the bench, which led to the stories about Crystal Palace wanting him.
He knew he was wanted by the Eagles and Wolfsburg then, and there’s been no signs that interest has gone away.
The fact Crystal Palace never signed a right-back means they still are in the market for one, as Nathaniel Clyne and Joel Ward aren’t getting any younger.
At 25, Lotomba would rejuvenate the position at Selhurst Park, and if there is some grumbling down the player’s end, that could make a deal with Nice all the more easy to pull off.
Lotomba has made 15 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 side this season, 14 of which have come in the league, and he has started the last four games for them at right-back.
