Real Betis have now worries around the transfer of Chadi Riad to Crystal Palace, despite everything going a little quiet in recent days.
Last week saw multiple reports that the Barcelona owned player was booked in for a medical with the Premier League club and that a move would be quickly announced.
For Real Betis the transfer is important, given their very delicate finances. They’d had the 20-year-old on loan with a purchase option, which left a chunk of any future transfer fee with the Blaugrana.
Thursday’s edition of ABC Sevilla reports Real Betis have ‘complete tranquility’ around the situation. It’s explained that Chadi Riad passed a medical in London last week, and all the paperwork relating to the deal has already been signed.
According to the Spanish newspaper, the only reason the transfer hasn’t been announced is Crystal Palace have asked for time so they can ‘fit it into their communications policy’.
The assumption is that the Eagles will wait until their new player has taken part in Morocco’s friendlies this month, with the last on June 11th, and then present him to their fans.
