There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Crystal Palace are showing interest in Fenerbahce defender Bright Osayi-Samuel.

The former Queens Park Rangers right back will be out of contract at the end of the season after four seasons with the Istanbul side.

A Spor today report on the future of Osayi-Samuel and they say Crystal Palace have their eye on the Nigeria international. Fenerbahce have been working to convince the player to sign a new deal since the summer, but haven’t been unsuccessful.

In the summer, his contract situation led to speculation the 26-year-old could be heading back to England after his spell with QPR.

However, Fener boss Jose Mourinho wanted the player to remain with the Super Lig side, despite attention from the likes of Wolves and Leeds United.

It seems Crystal Palace are the latest English side to join the race to sign Osayi-Samuel and they can open talks with the defender in the new year over a pre-contract agreement.

Osayi-Samuel started the season as Mourinho’s first choice right back, but injury has ruled him out for the past few weeks.
