Chris Richards has been an important player for Crystal Palace in the last few seasons and he is attracting interest from Italy.
The defender has now played 128 times in all competitions, having been key to the Conference League win last season. He also featured prominently at the World Cup for the United States, establishing how he has clearly grown since his time at Bayern Munich.
So far in the current campaign, he has played every minute of each game. His availability and consistency was naturally going to attract more clubs at some point. Now, interest in Richards is slowly rising.
Player seen as a good fit

This has led to the Crystal Palace player being an attractive transfer chance. His current deal runs out in the summer of 2027 and this makes a good opportunity for Beppe Marotta. The Italian is an expert at ironing out cheap transfers and Richards could be the next in line.
The versatile centre-back has been scouted for ‘several months’ by Inter too. Officials from the Nerazzurri have been keeping a close eye on the American, who is adept at playing in a back three.
Even tactically, he is viewed as someone who will fit right into how Inter play under Cristian Chivu.

This comes right after Crystal Palace’s Tyrick Mitchell also drew interest from Italy. His contract also runs out in the summer of 2027, which is appearing interest to Juventus.
The Eagles can also lose Jean-Philippe Mateta because of a contract dispute. Adam Wharton continues to attract the attention of big clubs too. If Richards also leaves, they can see many key players depart in a short space of time.
Clearly, Crystal Palace need to act fast. The 26-year-old can easily become an important signing for Inter and the London club simply can’t underestimate Marotta.
