Despite having varying degrees of success at both Liverpool and Sunderland after making his English debuts for Chelsea, Fabio Borini continues to be a viable summer transfer option for a couple of Premier League sides.

Those are Crystal Palace and Aston Villa, as L’Arena in Italy explain ‘officials’ from both side have ‘taken notice’ the forward could be on the move again.

Swapping Milan for Verona on a free transfer in January, Borini scored his first two goals of the season, and is only on a six month contract with his new club.

That means he will be available for nothing once more in the summer, which is a far more appealing option for clubs like the Eagles and the Villains, who might not want to spend millions on the 29-year-old.

However, there his also the option of him staying put, as he’s ‘finally found himself happy’ in Verona, although it’s made clear Borini has yet to make a decision.

Should he decide to leave, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa would face competition for his services, as Fiorentina are also at the ready.

On the flip side, were he to decide to stay, then Hellas are thinking that a three-year contract wouldn’t be the worst idea for a player who has only recently turned 29.

It’s all down to the forward, with Dean Smith and Roy Hodgson seemingly ready to pounce behind the scenes if he feels like giving the Premier League a go one last time.
