Wolverhampton Wanderers are making progress in their efforts to sign UD Almería’s Marc Pubill this summer.

AC Milan have also shown keen interest in the right-back but are now losing ground in the transfer race.

That’s according to Calciomercato.it, who took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to report that the deal to take the 22-year-old to Wolves is ‘moving quickly towards completion’.

They add these are ‘crucial hours’ for the Premier League side to close the signing.

Recent claims from elsewhere have stated Wolves have offered €15m plus bonuses for the Spaniard and Marca, after relaying this, provides the latest.

The reported offer from Wolves is close to what the Segunda División have been hoping to collect. Their sources have told Marca that ‘we still have to wait’ for the conclusion, but they are ‘keen to close the lucrative deal’ with the English club.

Vítor Pereira’s side have been in talks with the fullback over the past few weeks and the negotiations are on the right track. Despite this, Marca claims Wolves are yet to make a written formal offer to Pubill.

Although Calciomercato.it expects Wolves to make quick advances, Marca indicate it may take some time for them to close this operation.
