Following all the rumours linking Galatasaray defender Victor Nelsson to Premier League clubs, it seems Nottingham Forest now joined the race.
Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio today reveals that the Tricky Trees are also ‘interested’ in signing the 24-year-old.
It’s claimed that Nottingham Forest have ‘contacts ongoing’ for the transfer, although there’s no information on how much a deal could be done for.
The City Ground side must definitely be aware of the competition for this signing, as among the many rumours surrounding him, there’s been big talk about a potential move to Tottenham Hotspur.
Recent stories from the Turkish media have been saying that Spurs are serious for the Danish defender, even though they struggle to match his €25m release clause.
The latest on the matter was that they were trying to find a deal where Nelsson moves to London while Davinson Sanchez makes the opposite way to Istanbul, although the signing of Micky van de Ven may have changed that.
So it now remains to be seen whether Nottingham Forest want to put that €25m on the table and get it done with no further negotiations.
That should be enough money for Galatasaray to buy a new defender and still profit from the deal.
