Chelsea have been among the clubs reportedly chasing Victor Osimhen ever since he suggested this could be his final season at Napoli.
On March 19th, Sport Mediaset stated the Blues are getting a step closer towards securing a deal for the striker. A day later, we covered claims from Italy that Chelsea are in pole to sign him in the summer.
Calciomercato now indicate Chelsea could be the 25-year-old’s next destination.
The former Lille star is ready to say goodbye to Napoli, and their chairman, Aurelio De Laurentiis, is waiting to collect €130m from his sale in the summer. The Serie A side have already identified a few targets that could replace the frontman next season.
It’s said the Nigeria international already has a deal in place, thanks to his agent, Roberto Calenda, and he’s even confided about his next club to those close to him.
Calciomercato don’t specifically mention the name of the club but do state the ‘clues lead to Chelsea’. Osimhen could possibly play a role in helping the west London club return to the top in England and Europe.
There’s been claims of interest from Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain, and the report says Osimhen’s future should be clarified in the next few weeks.
Calciomercato hint the frontman will join Chelsea but whether that’s the case remains to be seen.
