Loaned to Torino last season, Dennis Praet left a good impression on Ivan Juric during his time there, to the extent where the Croatian manager wanted the Serie A side to buy him permanently from Leicester City.
They decided against it in the end, as his physical issues that year meant they were worried he could end up injured again easily, and spending a lot of money could backfire.
However, they haven’t forgotten about him, and with Praet returning into Brendan Rodgers’ plans at Leicester, Calciomercato claim the Italians will make a move for him in the summer.
The 28-year-old has seen his time increase a bit of late at the King Power Stadium, but clearly not enough to warrant a renewal, meaning an exit in the summer is more than likely.
He’ll be a year off the end of his contract, and that’s the perfect time for Torino to strike, as Davide Vagnati, their director of football, continues to follow him ‘with great interest’.
In fact, he will ‘make another attempt’ to try and sign him, as Leicester will be ‘forced to sell him’ in order to not lose him on a free the following year.
