AC Milan will give Nottingham Forest the ‘green light’ to cancel Divock Origi’s loan move ‘in the next few hours’ so he can depart and perhaps move to MLS.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who say the Italians are willing to do a deal for the Belgian and break his loan spell back in the Premier League.
They explain that Milan are ‘very active’ on the outgoing market and have prepared at least three transfers for the end of the January transfer window.
Origi is one of them and the plan is for them to ‘give the green light’ to Nottingham Forest to interrupt his loan there and send him back to Italy.
The Belgian striker has been on loan with Nottingham Forest since the summer but has only managed nine appearances and 177 minutes of action so far and is not a part of their plans moving forwards either.
He has interest from Los Angeles FC, and it seems Milan are happy to end his loan at Forest because negotiations with the Americans are progressing well on another loan deal with a €5m obligation.
All that is required is Origi’s agreement but there is confidence a move can be finalised, once the first part involving Nottingham Forest is dealt with.
