Lyon are thinking about signing Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Rayan Aït-Nouri as to look to strengthen their defence.
Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri spent last season on loan at the Ligue 1 side and was the first choice left-back during his stay in France.
He returned to Stamford Bridge and Peter Bosz’s side have to bring in a replacement for Emerson in this summer window.
According to Media Foot, the Ligue 1 side have taken information about the Wolves player, whose profile is ‘very interesting’ for them. He made 23 league appearances under Bruno Lage’s orders last season.
It’s claimed several clubs are after the France U21 international and Wolves are listening to potential offers.
Media Foot make it clear they are not aware whether Lyon are looking to sign Aït-Nouri on a dry loan deal or loan with an option to buy. It seems one thing is certain it is that Wolves will not sell the fullback, who has a prestigious career ahead of him.
Aït-Nouri is managed by super-agent Jorge Mendes and Bosz’s side are trying to take him on a loan deal this summer.
The report explains that by trying to make an approach for the 21-year-old, the French club are ‘trying to catch a big fish’ from Wolves. Time will tell whether or not Lyon will be successful.
