Anderlecht are considering signing Aston Villa’s Leander Dendoncker, according to multiple claims from Belgium.

The 29-year-old hasn’t enjoyed regular minutes under Unai Emery at Villa Park. He even struggled for game time during his loan spell at Napoli earlier this year, with the Italian media joking that he was enjoying being a tourist around the city.

Het Laatste Nieuws now claim Dendoncker could leave Aston Villa on another loan deal.

Anderlecht are looking to bring the Belgian back to the club but will face competition from Las Palmas.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are also said to be interested in the Aston Villa player, yet the La Liga side are currently the ‘only concrete option’ for him so far.

It’s claimed Dendoncker’s current salary at Aston Villa is deemed high for Las Palmas, who have until Friday to secure his services. Anderlecht, on the other hand, have a few more days as the window in Belgium closes on September 6th.

Het Nieuwsblad also cover the Jupiler Pro League side and Las Palmas’ interest in the former Wolves man.

They state Anderlecht have joined the battle for the Villans man as they are in market for a new midfielder.

Las Palmas, on the other hand, have ‘submitted a serious offer’ to sign Dendoncker on a loan deal. Het Nieuwsblad also state that his salary would be a concern for the Spanish club.

If they fail to secure his services before Friday, Anderlecht could make an attempt to take him away from Aston Villa in the next few days.
