Beşiktaş have identified Tottenham Hotspur’s Japhet Tanganga as a target after a deal for Southampton’s Lyanco collapsed.
On Friday, TRT Spor journalist Fırat Günayer reported Lyanco will have to return to the Championship side after the operation to take him to Beşiktaş was ‘cancelled’.
Therefore, Fotospor now claim the Turkish club have knocked on Tottenham’s door for the 24-year-old as he has attracted the ‘most attention’ from Şenol Güneş their manager.
It’s claimed Tanganga is not included in Ange Postecoglou’s plans next season and this has seen the Black Eagles make the ‘first attempt’ to sign him.
The report adds the Istanbul club have also contacted the Englishman’s agent to express their desire to sign him on loan with an option to buy. They have also asked the agent to inform Spurs about the situation.
Fotospor state Atalanta had shown interest in the player, who can operate as a centre-back and a right-back, but didn’t make an offer to Tottenham so far.
Therefore, it has given Beşiktaş hope to sign him and they have ‘started negotiations’ through Tanganga’s agent.
