It seems Grêmio won’t give up on their chase for Manchester United winger Facundo Pellistri.
It was recently reported by the Brazilian media that the Red Devils had turned down a bid for the player, as Erik ten Hag would rather keep him in Europe.
Now according to Radio Guaiba journalist Rafael Pfeiffer, Grêmio are set to make a second attempt to sign Pellistri.
There are not details of the arguments the club will use to try to convince Manchester United of a deal. It’s just claimed that they continue with their interest and will try again.
According to the information, the Red Devils’ intention is to loan him out again this summer.
Back on when the first bid was reported, it had been claimed that Grêmio wanted a loan deal, where they’d pay 60% of the player’s wages, and would like a percentage of a future sale as a ‘showcase fee’.
The big problem never seemed to be the conditions in the offer, but Manchester United’s desire to keep him close, so Grêmio need good arguments to bring him back to South America.
