Last Friday, Tutto Atalanta stated Tottenham Hotspur have joined the race to sign Atalanta star Éderson.
The Premier League side have taken further steps to try and secure the midfielder’s services in the winter market, according to multiple claims from Italy.
Corriere Bergamo state the Serie A side have received Tottenham’s request for the 24-year-old… and it has been blocked.
It’s said Gian Piero Gasperini’s side have raised the wall and said ‘no to Tottenham’, since they maintain a firm stance that none of their key players will leave this month.
Calciomercato also have a report on the Brazilian and their title says Tottenham ‘want Éderson’.
Within the report, it’s claimed the Italian club are set to part ways with Mitchel Bakker and he’ll be their only outgoing operation in January. This is why ‘there was no reaction’ from La Dea when the north London club knocked on their door for the South American.
Éderson has scored six goals and registered one assist from 27 games this season and his displays have attracted interest from Ange Postecoglou’s side.
However, Atalanta aren’t willing to let go of him.
Of course, everyone has a price, whether they’re officially for sale or not, and it’s now down to Tottenham to try and push things if they so desire.
