Inter Milan and AS Roma are battling it out to sign West Ham United’s Gianluca Scamacca.
According to Sportitalia, the Nerazzurri are ahead of their Serie A rivals in the transfer race.
José Mourinho’s side have offered to take the West Ham player on loan with an option to buy, which would be converted into an obligation if certain conditions are met.
Inter, on the other hand, have made an offer of €22m plus €3m bonuses while West Ham are demanding €30m for the striker.
There’s ‘room for negotiation’ as Sportitalia believe Inter and David Moyes’ side ‘can meet halfway’.
Over at Calciomercato.it, they explain that Simone Inzaghi’s side have made a first bid of €20-22m, which was rejected by the Hammers.
The Europa Conference League winners have asked for €30m but could lower the asking price to €27-28m.
It’s stated Inter are ready to return with an improved offer of €25m and would also seek ‘favourable payment conditions’ from the Hammers.
Inzaghi has requested a physical striker and even though the 24-year-old wasn’t the first choice, his age and price saw the Inter leaders focus on him.
Calciomercato.it state the San Siro club, who have ‘broken the delay’, are ‘eager to find’ the agreement with West Ham for Scamacca.
