Fulham are still interested in VfB Stuttgart forward Silas, with the German side ready to sell him in the summer.
That’s according to journalist Florian Plettenberg, who says Stuttgart are open to a deal for the 25-year-old if they can secure €15-20m.
Silas was heavily linked with a move to Fulham on the final day of the January transfer window, with it reported that they had submitted a €15m bid for him.
That was rejected by Stuttgart due to the lateness of the matter, but it was made clear that Fulham had not completely given up, with a report after the window closed making it clear he was still on their radar.
Plettenberg backs that up, reporting that the forward is still a target for Marco Silva’s side as they look to bolster their options in the summer.
A deal is there to be done, too, with Stuttgart ‘ready to sell him’ now after rejecting Fulham’s bid at the end of the winter window. They want €15-20m for their man, who is still tied to the club on a deal until 2026.
Whether Fulham are willing to pay that figure isn’t mentioned but the opportunity is there nonetheless if those in charge at Craven Cottage wish to explore it.
