Nottingham Forest are set to soon receive a visit from a club president, according to reports from Turkey.

FotoMac writes that newly Besiktas top man Hasan Arat, who s on the look for winter reinforcements, is set to go out on a trip to make some signings.

Their priority is said to be a centre-back, and that’s where Nottingham Forest come in.

Besiktas are reportedly interested in Scott McKenna, and Arat will ‘go to the island’ to speak to the Reds about that potential transfer.

The story highlights that McKenna hasn’t been getting much playing time at City Ground this season, and since he ‘intends to leave’, he becomes a good option for the Turkish club.

It’s also pointed out that his contract expires at the end of the season, and that’s seen as an ‘opportunity’ for Arat to find a bargain deal for his transfer.

McKenna has five appearances made for Nottingham Forest this season, all at the start of the league, and was never seen in the squad again.

His last match was against Burnley on the 18th of September.
