Fábio Carvalho has struggled to have prominence in his first season at Liverpool and was restricted to around 600 minutes of action from 21 games.
Operating mainly on the left wing, he scored three goals for the Reds and two of those happened last August.
This hasn’t put off RB Leipzig as they have been courting the winger for a while. That’s at least what Kicker are reporting and they even state an offer has been made to Liverpool.
Jürgen Klopp’s side have rejected the German club’s first bid but that hasn’t put them off. It’s claimed they ‘prepare’ a second offer to sign the 20-year-old in the summer.
Kicker don’t give details of the first offer or the fee the Bundesliga side are planning to propose in the second bid.
Liverpool are ‘insisting’ they’ll only let go of the Portugal U21 international either on a loan deal or via a sale with a buyback option. The latter, as per Kicker, would be a ‘novelty’ for Leipzig.
A move, even if it’s temporary, away from Liverpool may help Carvalho enjoy regular game time.
