Hajduk Split are pondering whether to use their option to sign Sunderland’s Nazariy Rusyn on a permanent basis in the summer transfer window.
That’s according to 24 Sata, who say the Croatian side are unsure about taking up their option n the 26-year-old.
Rusyn joined them on loan at towards the end of the January transfer window and the deal includes and option for Hajduk to make it permanent.
That’s a question they need to work on as he’s only managed one assist for them in 16 games. He has, though, started nine games from 11 in the league and being substituted in six times as well so is clearly in their plans.
The big problem is that the club’s current financial situation isn’t the best and that raises questions about activating the option as well. All indications would be that they won’t and the Ukrainian will return to the Stadium of Light in the coming months.
That decision hasn’t been made yet, though, with Hajduk Split still deciding on what to do with the Sunderland man in what is looking likely to be a busy summer for them.
