Fluminense are setting up a ‘major operation’ to get Richarlison from Tottenham, with their president already speaking to the forward.
That’s according to Itatiaia, who confirm reports on the Tottenham man from elsewhere in Brazil and add their own information.
They report that Fluminense are setting up a ‘financial operation’ to get Richarlison out of Tottenham to ‘repatriate’ him at his former club. They’re dreaming of signing their former player, especially with the Club World Cup on the cards in the summer.
A deal is seen as difficult to get done but the Brazilian side want to set up a major operation to get their former star.
Tottenham have made it clear in initial talks that they won’t let Richarlison leave without receiving financial compensation. Fluminense’s idea is to bring the striker back on a one-year loan with an option to buy at the end of it.
The club’s president Mário Bittencourt, has already spoken to Richarlison, who has ‘shown himself willing’ to return to Laranjeiras.
Fluminense now want to reach a financial agreement with Tottenham and the player. Meetings will be held by the end of the year, among the football leadership at the club, to set up the financial operation.
Richarlison is dreaming of returning to the Brazilian National Team for the 2026 World Cup and believes playing for Fluminense could be a ‘good showcase’ for himself. That’s opened the door to the move, which now appears to be progressing.
