You might recall an article last week in the French media stating Arsenal’s Alexandre Lacazette was a wanted man these days.
L’Equipe claimed a number of sides, including Atlético Madrid and Juventus, were reportedly interested in the France international, who could end up leaving this summer.
The striker hasn’t been as much of a regular under Mikel Arteta as he probably would want to be, and now Le10 Sport claim the Serie A champions are making some moves in the hope of reaching a deal.
They claim Juventus have not only ‘got in touch with Lacazette’s representatives’, but have also gone as far as reaching out to Arsenal themselves.
That means ‘first discussions’ have opened with the player regarding a potential move to Turin, and there’s hope they can try and get things going with the Gunners too.
Down the player’s end, it’s said the idea of a new challenge ‘seduces him’, especially in one where he could team up with the likes of Blaise Matuidi and Aaron Ramsey while playing alongside stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala.
However, Arsenal aren’t exactly open to an exit, as they ‘count on him’ going forward, perhaps with the idea of letting Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang go instead.
One to keep an eye on.
