Galatasaray have made a move for Nottingham Forest midfielder Nico Domínguez, opening talks for a deal worth around €13m.
That’s according to journalist Jorge Baravalle, who reports that the Turkish side have opened talks with Nottingham Forest about a move for the Argentine midfielder.
Galatasaray have already had a busy start to their summer, completing deals for Hakim Ziyech and Michy Batshuayi while the likes of Serge Aurier and Patrick van Aanholt have departed.
The belief is that they could be in for a big transfer window, perhaps looking to spend and strengthen their squad to ward off the threat of a re-energised Fenerbahce, now led by Jose Mourinho.
And that may have seen them make a move for Nottingham Forest midfielder Domínguez, with Baravalle reporting that the Turkish side are negotiating with their Premier League counterparts over the defensive midfielder.
According to his information, they would be looking to do a deal worth around €13m for the 26-year-old, although there is no indication of whether this would satisfy Forest.
That figure would give them a small profit on the €10m they paid Bologna in September last year but seems low for a player who managed 29 appearances in all competitions last season and is tied to a deal until 2028.
It may just be more of a low-ball, opening gambit from Galatasaray but it is a situation to keep an eye on moving forward, nonetheless.
