German newspaper Bild on Tuesday go over what they say are Thomas Tuchel’s creative problems.
The Borussia Dortmund manager is apparently facing an issue with his team: There’s a distinct lack of creativeness compared to last season.
The biggest problem is the loss of Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Manchester United, the Armenian was a creative genius for Dortmund last season in Germany. Whilst other players have been brought in, nobody is quite providing the magic that Mkhitaryan managed for Tuchel.
Whilst Mkhitaryan was the creative chief for Dortmund, defender Mats Hummels also played a part, bringing the ball out from the back and helping to start moves off, and keep them going, but he went to Bayern Munich.
Dortmund recruited some great young talent, but they’re taking time to settle in, and Marco Reus is once again seeing injury hamper his season.
The ‘creative pillars’ of Tuchel’s team have gone, and Bild say what was once a strength for the club is now an area of weakness.
