Fenerbahce have made a €5m offer for Liverpool midfielder Thiago, as well as offering him a deal worth €7.5m per year.
That’s according to Takvim, who say the Turkish side are pushing to sign the midfielder from Liverpool before their transfer deadline tomorrow.
A report earlier today indicated that Trabzonspor were pushing to sign the Spaniard and doing everything they could to get a deal over the line for him.
But it appears they are not the only side who are keen, with Takvim now throwing Fenerbahce into the mix and saying the Turkish side ‘want to buy’ Thiago.
According to them they’ve made a bid of €5m for the midfielder to Liverpool, as well as ‘considering’ to offer the player a three-year deal worth €7.5m per year.
Whether either party is interested in those figures isn’t mentioned, although it is made clear that Thiago is currently valued at €15m, so the offer is low in terms of that.
It remains to be seen if Liverpool or Thiago are keen on the idea, then, although with the player’s contract at Anfield set to expire next summer, it’s likely the Reds are open to a deal taking place.
If they don’t sell now, they run the risk of Thiago being able to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with clubs from January and losing him on a free, something they’ll surely want to avoid.
