On Monday, Manchester United completed the signing of Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford, after negotiating with the Bees for over a month.

Brentford have received £65m [€74.8m] in fixed fee plus a potential £6m in bonuses [€6.9m] from the Red Devils for the winger.

ES Troyes AC are pleased with Mbeumo’s decision to leave Brentford for Manchester United.

Tuesday’s edition of Libération Champagne, a newspaper local to the French club, reports on the slice of the fee they’ll receive from the Brentford sale, and it could be close to €10m.

Troyes initially signed the Cameroon international for their academy in 2013 and sold him to Brentford for €5.6m plus €1m bonuses in 2019, when the English club were in the Championship. The bonuses were activated once the Bees secured promotion to the top flight.

According to Libération Champagne, the Ligue 2 side negotiated a 10% sell-on clause with Brentford.

If the overall fee is into account, which is well over €80m, Troyes would receive over €7.4m.

In addition to this, the French club are also entitled to receive training compensation as part of the FIFA solidarity mechanism. The newspaper claims it could be over €2m, taking the overall tally close to €10m.
