Pep Guardiola has confirmed Leroy Sané will not sign a contract extension at Manchester City, with his current deal at the Etihad running until June 2021.
Bayern Munich have long been credited with an interest in the Germany international.
On May 5th, SportBild explained the Bundesliga winners have already agreed personal terms with the 24-year-old.
Since then, the same outlet and other publications have reported a deal needs to be agreed between the two clubs for the transfer to take shape.
Munich based newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung now states it’s no secret the player wants to move to Allianz Arena and Hans-Dieter Flick’s side want Sané.
However, the ‘last details’ have not been negotiated between Bayern and the wideman, and also between the two clubs. If this report is true, it means the German champions have no agreement in place with the attacker.
With Sané eligible to sign a pre-contract with clubs outside England from January 2021, it remains to be seen if Bayern are willing to spend around €40m, 50, 60 or even €70m for him this summer.
