Osasuna have ‘no record’ of interest from Aston Villa in defender Enzo Boyomo and would demand €25m if they were to sell him.

That’s according to Diario de Navarra, who report that reports in England about Aston Villa’s interest is wide of the mark.

They say that while it is no surprise that Boyomo is attracting interest in Europe given his ‘potential and qualities’, Osasuna have no intention of parting ways with him.

Reports in England have stated that Aston Villa are monitoring the centre-back and preparing a possible move this summer. Osasuna, though, have ‘no record of this interest’ in their player.

Even if an offer were to arrive, their intention would not be to sell but ask for his €25m release clause to be met.

The newspaper argues that there was similar information about Aston Villa’s interest in Boyomo in the first half of the season, but Osasuna sporting director Braulio Vázquez took it upon himself to publicly dispel those rumours.

He has a ‘close relationship’ with Aston Villa manager Unai Emery and if the Villans were keen, he would be the first one to know about it.

In other words, in Osasuna they’re completely denying that there’s anything going on. In fact, they don’t think Aston Villa are interested at all.
