Michael Keane has lost prominence at Everton this season and has made 10 appearances in all competitions, including four league starts.
The centre-back hasn’t made an appearance for the Toffees since featuring in their league defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers towards the end of December.
Beşiktaş are ready to open their door for the Everton player, if a report from Sabah is to be believed.
The Istanbul club are keen on bolstering their defence and have already looked at the Premier League. They were keen on signing Newcastle United’s Jamaal Lascelles and Nottingham Forest’s Joe Worrall, but couldn’t secure agreements for either.
Therefore, the Black Eagles are looking at other options and Keane is their new target. The report states their leaders are preparing to contact Everton over a potential deal.
The 31-year-old’s contract at Goodison Park lasts until 2025 and the report explains that the Turkish club are preparing to sit at the table to negotiate a deal with Everton.
Although the winter market in the UK closed on Thursday, the transfer window in Turkey is still open until next Friday. Beşiktaş have until then to try and convince both Keane and the Merseyside club.
