Celtic have faced Hibernian FC on three occasions this season and Élie Youan was involved only once against Brendan Rodgers’ side.
The forward could join Celtic in the summer window if a report from 225 Foot is to be believed.
They state Celtic and VfL Wolfsburg are the two clubs showing interest in the Hibernian player.
He managed two goals and two assists from 14 games for the Hibs this season and hasn’t featured since Boxing Day due to an injury. That didn’t stop him from attracting interest in the winter market, but Hibernian were successful in retaining him.
The Scottish champions and Wolfsburg are now showing interest, and the two clubs will be fighting for his signature. The report states the Bundesliga side are currently ahead of Celtic as they’ve reached a verbal agreement with Youan.
Brendan Rodgers’ side have to act fast if they want to take the lead in the transfer race.
Wolfsburg want to avoid being overtaken by another club, ‘especially Celtic’ to sign the Frenchman. The report states they would be willing to offer €1.3m to Hibernian to part ways with Youan.
