Dani Ceballos has had a mixed time at Arsenal this season, as he spends another period away from Real Madrid on loan. After a few Premier League games without getting any action at all, the midfielder returned to action against Leeds United on Sunday.
He managed to get an assist as Mikel Arteta’s side won 4-2, yet he probably needs to impress more consistently if the Gunners are going to try and make the transfer permanent.
Given Zinedine Zidane obviously isn’t a fan, Ceballos would need to hugely impress for Arsenal to make him consider the player as an option for Madrid next season. That isn’t happening and therefore Real Betis have been dragged back into the picture.
The Seville club fear losing Nabil Fekir in the summer, with it assumed there’ll be interest in the Frenchman. Estadio Deportivo believe Ceballos is an option to replace him and have been reporting such for several days.
Now they’ve asked Betis fans what they think, and it’s stated the answer isn’t what the Spaniard would want to hear. Rather than backing Ceballos as a replacement for Fekir, 63% of fans asked instead said that should be put aside, with total concentration on keeping the former Lyon player instead.
