Borussia Dortmund have set their sights on Manchester United’s Amad Diallo, according to Sky Deutschland.

The Red Devils agreed a deal with Atalanta for the transfer of the 19-year-old in the summer of 2020, after BVB refused to let Jadon Sancho move to Old Trafford in the same window.

Sancho joined the Premier League side last summer. His and Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival improved competition for a place in attacking division, which convinced United to let Amad go out on loan.

A deal in the last window collapsed after the Ivory Coast international picked up an injury in training. Since regaining fitness, the teenager has been restricted to one appearance and is now expected to go out on loan this month.

Marco Rose’s side have an ‘eye on the United youngster’, but will face ‘competition’ from England, particularly from Wayne Rooney’s Derby County. The Championship side would like to take the player on a loan deal in the winter market.

Regarding Dortmund, Sky only reports BVB ‘eye’ Amad Diallo, but don’t mention if they have held any talks with either the attacker’s camp or with United.
