AC Milan could make a move for Watford forward João Pedro this summer as they study different profiles to bolster their forward line for next season.
That’s according to Gazzetta dello Sport, who say the Italian club are ‘far off’ making an offer at this point but the Brazilian is on their list of options.
They are drawing up a shortlist of ‘interesting players’ ahead of the summer transfer window as they look to invest in their attack for the ‘medium term’.
They see Pedro as a ‘technical’ player of some value as he is a capable dribbler who ‘kicks well’ with his right foot.
They have seen how the player has ‘grown’ in the Championship with Watford this season, scoring nine goals so far in a role playing behind the main striker.
He started his career as a midfielder but can play in different position in the forward line and at 22-years-old had ‘room for improvement’ as well.
Last summer he was linked with a move to Newcastle and agreement was believed to be ‘very close’ at one point for €28m plus bonuses.
That amount is seen as a ‘demanding but not unattainable figure’ for Milan, who would seemingly be willing to do a deal with Watford if that is the price they would have to pay.
