Manchester City are looking to cash in from Lukas Nmecha’s sale this summer, after he impressed during his loan spell at Anderlecht, scoring 21 goals and registering three assists across all competitions.

The 22-year-old is also in favour of making a switch elsewhere and admitted he has a ‘dream’ of playing again in the Bundesliga.

With a year left on his contract at the Etihad, a summer transfer is likely, considering the stance maintained by both parties.

Nmecha scored the only goal in the UEFA U21 European Championship final as Germany beat Portugal to win the tournament. The latest success has increased his market value from €8m to €12m, and this has made it difficult for Vincent Kompany’s side to land him.

Voetbal24 state there’s ‘still hope’ at Anderlecht of signing the Citizens striker, but it won’t be easy due to the competition they will have to face from England, Germany and Portugal.

These suitors are in a better financial position than the Jupiler Pro League side and that makes it’ ‘annoying for Anderlecht’. To make things even worse, Royal Antwerp are ‘planning to make a serious attempt’ to sign the Manchester City man this summer.

There’s even been talk that Antwerp ‘want to make an offer’, and with their owner Paul Gheysens having plans to ‘invest heavily’ this summer, they can beat Anderlecht ‘financially’ for Nmecha’s signature.
