Chelsea are one of the clubs in the mix for signing Real Madrid centre-back Raphaël Varane.
Faced with the possibility of losing the France international and also Sergio Ramos [whose contract expires on June 30th] in the summer, Los Blancos are looking at the market for a new player in the same position.
Jules Koundé and Pau Torres have been named as options and earlier this week, AS reported the Sevilla star has overtaken Villarreal’s Spain international in Real Madrid’s summer target list.
These claims are relayed by La Razón, and they then provide more information on the Europa League winning defender.
Koundé has a €90m release clause and his club are aware no suitor will be meeting that price in the next market.
Sevilla, therefore, are ready to give the ‘go ahead’ for the Frenchman’s summer sale if there’s an offer of around €70m.
La Razón then add Real Madrid are not the only club interested in the 22-year-old as Thomas Tuchel’s side are also ‘very interested’ in signing the former Bordeaux man. For this reason, Zinedine Zidane’s side have identified Torres as an alternative to Koundé.
