Bundesliga clubs and the German media often vastly overvalue players in their league when there’s even the slightest sniff of Premier League interest.

That’s a fair approach given there’s always the chance an English club will simply overpay, although that is becoming rarer as PSR bites.

Bild now claim ‘Chelsea are serious’ about signing 27-year-old Gregor Kobel, and as well as the Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper there’s two other players at the club who have caught Blues’ attention.

Jamie Gittens, a 20-year-old left winger, is said to be on Chelsea’s agenda. He’s played 45 matches this season, scoring 12 goals and adding five assists.

The other player is 23-year-old Karim Adeyemi, another winger.

According to Bild, Dortmund would want to start talks at around €60m for Kobel, and Gittens is valued at the same amount. There’s no asking price shared for Adeyemi.

The newspaper says Chelsea and Dortmund are in close contact about various deal this summer, with Carney Chukwuemeka’s permanent transfer potentially being part-payment for Gittens.

Chelsea need to make sure they get value, though, and there’s surely batter market options out there than Kobel.
