Over the past couple of days, there have been some claims that Manchester City are interested in PSV Eindhoven’s Johan Bakayoko.
The young winger has been in fine form for the Eredivisie side over the past couple of years, which pushed Brentford to make a €40m bid for him in January, which was rejected.
Since then, the German media have stated Manchester City are among those looking at the player for the summer, said to cost around €50-60m, which Sacha Tavolieri decided to go and check for more information.
Taking to YouTube, he explains ‘it’s certain’ that there is an interest from Pep Guardiola’s side in Bakayoko, because scouts have gone to see him and produced a ‘positive report’.
However, that’s all there is to it for now, meaning Manchester City aren’t actively trying to sign the Belgian winger in the coming months, at least for now.
What does play in the Premier League club’s favour, however, is that there is no release clause in his contract, and the price requested by PSV is actually lower.
Tavolieri explains that the 20-year-old could leave for a fee of €35m + bonuses this summer, making him a bit more affordable than the €50-60m previously mentioned.
