As there tends to be most summers, a big transfer saga is already starting early and it could involve Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea.

That’s according to Patrick Berger, taking to X, formerly Twitter, to reveal the news about Johan Bakayoko and the interest swirling around the PSV Eindhoven star.

He explains that Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea are three clubs ‘monitoring his situation’, alongside the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund, and he’s labeled a ‘top target’ for all of them.

As the Reds will know, dealing with the Dutch side is never easy, as they will ask for a high price, which Berger already knows.

He claims that the Eredivisie club will want somewhere between €50-60m for their star, especially if Premier League clubs are involved.

Brentford tried their luck in January with a €40m bid that was turned down, meaning Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City will need to go higher than that, hence the aforementioned price range.

The Belgian winger has been in fine form again for his club this season, scoring eight goals and assisting another 13 in 40 appearances in all competitions.
