Torino sporting director Gianluca Petrachi has ruled out the possibility of signing Celtic defender Jozo Simunovic this summer.
Earlier this week the Turin press said their local club had opened some kind of dialect with Simunovic’s representatives, and were keen on a transfer this summer.
However, speaking to Tuttosport, the club representative said: “I do not believe he’s for sale, no one has ever told me he’d be leaving.”
On Thursday, Tuttosport said Torino were interested in signing the central defender and the Italian side would be making a €3m bid soon.
Simunovic suffered a knee injury earlier this year which still makes clubs have doubts about his physical condition. His last official match was in a 3-1 win against Saint Johnstone on January 23rd.
