Benfica are trying to work out a deal with Burnley for striker Zeki Amdouni, who seems destined to leave Turf Moor before the end of the window.
That’s according 4-4-2, who cover the striker today and how his next destination could be Portugal.
They report that Amdouni wants to leave Burnley by the end of the transfer window if that is possible.
He has been frustrated at the beginning of the season, finding himself out of Scott Parker’s plans and placed on the bench. He made a point with a goal in the 5-0 win over Cardiff but is frustrated by his sporting situation.
He is not playing the role he had hoped for and, therefore, wants to leave Burnley if he can. This is largely to protect his place with the Switzerland national team, which he feels could be under threat if he isn’t playing regularly for Burnley.
One club that could move for him is Benfica. They would like to sign the striker and have been holding talks with Burnley for some time.
They would prefer a loan deal, but the Clarets have only indicated they would like to sell permanently. Their current asking price is €18m. Benfica have instead offered a loan worth Benfica have instead offered a loan worth €4m.
Thus, there is a big gap between the two parties to be made up and discussions are still ongoing on that front.
