The controversy between Arsenal and Brazil regarding Gabriel Jesus’ fitness is getting a new chapter today.
This story started with the national team calling up the player regardless of his injury. That led Gunners’ boss Mikel Arteta to point out he was not even close to returning to training, making it clear that his trip to South America didn’t make much sense.
Well, it seems Brazil doctors may have been right after all, because as reported by TNT Sports, Gabriel Jesus is now training with the ball.
It’s claimed that Jesus is in the final stage of his recovery, although it’s not yet clear whether he’ll be used by Fernando Diniz in those matches.
As Globo Esporte brings their report on the training session, they show the starting line-up that Diniz used in the work before the match against Colombia on Thursday, and the Arsenal player is not there.
Those videos of him training, though, should be enough to bother the Gunners after what Arteta said.
